Elegant Double Stereo Viewer of Papier-Mâché, c. 1880
Probably France, with grain-painted papier-mâché body decorated with gilt fleur-de-lys motifs, two prism oculars with push-pull adjustment and two mirrors (one cracked, the other clouded), height 20,5 in. (52 cm). The viewer has a transport system with endless cloth hand and wood-framed holders. – An exceptionally decorative table-top viewer!
